CAMPUS MINISTRY GATHERING....

Hey, this is our campus ministry of shc among ums students!! Well done guys!! We had lots of activities in just a few gatherings. We gathered every Thursday at Jessica’s place. We will have bible study and at the best thing I like about this session is that everyone got a chance to express themselves on the bible versus. Sometimes, we do read the bible, but do we understand the message and apply to our daily life? Do we listen to God’s word and share among family and friends? Through this ministry gathering, we have learnt a lot by expressing our thoughts and getting to know other people point of view.. interesting facts!….even though we started with just a few of us, we hope that our ministry will developed involving many ums students… just a few days before our final exam, we had a special gathering to pray for our final exams. I always believe that God won’t guide us if don’t put effort in helping ourselves first. On this day too, we celebrated 1 month anniversary of our campus ministry together with Ann’s birthday!! Double the celebration!! God Bless you’ll !!.

Happy birthday to my dearest friend!! Prav, just want to let you know how special you are to me...you and Ghana lighten up my day when i,m down or if i felt hurt...when there's problem and even how far i am from you guys, i will still call your'll....all because you are my best buddies in the world!!Many new friends we meet along the way, but i always turn back to find you and Ghana....we share a lot of stuff together...up and downs fighting and joking around made our relationship as friends even stronger.

NOTHING COMPARES TO HARD WORK....

This is the day that awaits everyone that took effort in making fiesta cahaya a success!! The thanksgiving day!! Together with this event we even highlighted the farewell party of our 3rd and 4th year seniors...it was far kind a dinner party. With performances done by SS group and songs sang by our 2nd year students….it was mind blowing.


Students who participate in organizing fiesta cahaya was given each a certificate for their gratitude and hard work… with their smile on their faces represent everyone in the ball room who feels proud of themselves…speech presented by our pengarah fiesta cahaya gave a motivational talk which lifted up the juniors spirit to work harder next year. Later, souvenirs was hand over to all our seniors as they are leaving away and graduating this year..we wish them all the best in the future…. Especially to the 4th year seniors….we thank you for all your help and guidance. Food was then served in a buffet style and the vege food was delicious!!yummy yummy!


3rd year seniors guys came quite late to the party, but that dosen’t stop everyone from having a “gala” time! Open floor dance was our last event of that evening….and that was the best performances from everyone!! Can’t wait for the next thanks giving event,guys!!

FIESTA CAHAYA 2006!!

On 18th February 2006, a great history have been recorded for Indian students of university Malaysia Sabah in organizing an Indian culture show . It was a huge success for us as we didn’t expect a lot of good response from the audiences. Our Menteri Belia dan Sukan Sabah was the chief guest for the day, and he personally said the best and most professional event of the year is fiesta cahaya 2006!! We all shouted to joy!!! You might be wondering what’s all this Fiesta cahaya all about. Well, let me give you a quick tour regarding this event…especially the organizers hard work.

This is the robotic of a pearl which was invented by the engineering students for the launching of the fiesta cahaya show…well done friends!! The pearl is our logo of fiesta cahaya 2006 . It took them 1 month to do the final testing of this robotic and it turn out well during the launching..Performances which was fully participated by all the Indians students of ums especially the juniors and watch out for the barathnatyam dancers, the modern dance, fesyen shows and drama together with the the lucky draw prizes sponsored by air asia,

All the students practice hard for months just to put on a perfect show….The best show of all was the Michael Jackson dance performed by a junior guy. His good in dancing and everyone started to called him by the name “Mariapam Jackson” Indian version of Michael Jackson!

Well, evry1 did put a lot of effort in organizing this event. We had lots of misunderstanding during meetings, sleepless night, going around getting sponsors, getting the hall ready, letters to type, technical problems, dancers practice, tickets selling, food supply and also transportation problems…but all this worth the effort. I still remember how I and my other volunteers went room to room to sell tickets and design free mehendi.

A great success for us Indian to be proud of… We even held a thanksgiving party for all those who put endless effort in organizing the fiesta cahaya show. All gave their gratitude and receive certificate for their tremendous job!!
